Objective: I was tasked with expanding this local farmers markets’ social media reach during my internship at SB Marketing this past spring.
Process: I received access to their Facebook account and WordPress site. I began by updating their website for the upcoming spring and summer season. As the opening date approached, I made a few Facebook postings and decided to create an Instagram account to reach a younger audience. I also made custom gifs for their followers to use.
Outcome: As I tracked interaction via Facebook and Instagram insights, I saw which posts did better and made more of those. These postings typically listed the types of produce currently in season. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we didn’t boost any of my postings. However, during my internship, their Facebook gained 200 new organic followers and the Instagram I created gained just under 100.
